We start our work with you and your dog where you currently are in your training and relationship and devise a plan to reach your goals. We offer in-home training, private training at our Hampton or Smithfield locations, group classes and a limited board and train clients. From puppy socialization and manners around guests in your home to skills for the competition ring, we will work with you to help you meet your individual needs and goals!

Elizabeth Staley CPDT-KA is the owner of 4 The Dogs, and trainer you will be working with for all sports training and Hampton Privated. She also does in-home/on location training. She owns and loves her Boston Terriers and Australian Shepherds. Elizabeth has been active in dog sports for more than 13 years and has been helping others train their dogs for over a decade. She is still very active in a variety of dog sports and training that include purposeful puppy raising and socialization, basic manners, tricks, conformation, agility, obedience, rally, barn hunt, scent work, coursing ability tests, FAST CATs and Dock Diving. She has trained a number of therapy dogs and has handled many of her own dogs for therapy work. Elizabeth is an approved AKC CGC/STAR Puppy Evaluator, AKC Temperament, Farm Dog and Fetch Judge and Barn Hunt Association Judge.
Keri Carter is also our trainer who does exercise & decompression sessions as well as barn hunt training in Smithfield at The IOC. Keri has experience in barn hunt as well as in behavior training. She has been active in rescue and is a foster for BARC, a local bully breed rescue. She also owns an Australian Shepherd. Keri’s dogs train and compete in barn hunt, FAST CAT and agility. Keri is also available for private in-home/on location sessions in Hampton, Yorktown, Newport News and Smithfield.
